Hey loved your widget. now for the fun part. We have a new ministry called Faith Cycle Ministry and it can be found at. You guessed it www.faithcycleministry.org our goal is to help Christian with their next step in faith.

We are looking for people to help us with our goals. To give you an idea of what are goals are visit our site and see the about FCM page.

Our big goals are to be able to give missionaries solar powered laptops with satellite connections to the internet so they can be in a village in Africa and help them with their next step in faith...huge goals yes, but a bigger God gave us the vision.

We are a fresh Ministry (6 months old) and over 13,000 hits on our web site. we have people from all over the world downloading material from our site. Who? Did you ask? Someone form Saudi Arabia downloaded How to study the Bible, someone from Hong Kong downloaded How to pray? yep the list goes on.

The reason for bugging you. well..we are looking for people to help us use technology to help us reach the world. The talent you used to create the Widget we would like to use to help our ministry grow. From our site you can get daily devotions, which a woman from south PA has offered to do for us. You can sign up for A Verse A day to be email ed to you daily which a guy from VA has offered to do. And you can get Inspiration In Your Inbox (I2YI) which a guy in AZ have offered to do.

We want to be the support force behind the front line evangelistic ministries. When you go and hear someone preach we want the preacher to mention our website after the alter call. Many people get lost after the accept Christ and don’t know what to do and are too shy to go up front and ask for help. We want to be there using modern technology to support them. We want to have Pod casting of the sermons you can get on our website, RSS of our Bible studies. We currently have RSS of our daily devotions. We are going to get a toll-free number so you can call us after you saw someone preach you can get a real person to talk to.

You see we plan to be bigger then Promise Keepers as PK is just for men. So far in our 6 month we have had two spin off ministries. Weblog Ministries (url is the same) which is using people who use Xanga blogs as a witnessing tool. We have over 213 teens in our blogring who are reaching 1 new person a week to preach Christ. Our goal is to reach 1,000,000 un-churched teens thru this ministry. We are now expanding to Live journal and then to other blog sites.
And the new whatsthefish.org which will be using a site pal (Pastor Gigabite) to help teens understand the calling to do God’s will (site is still under construction but the site pal is there)

Book of Wisdom - Great Widget! I only have two widgets installed on my desktop and BOW is one of them. It continues to encourage and surprize me (is that really in Proverbs ?)

Anyway, I would like to see the source code. Anyway to see it ?

good to hear the widget is working well for ya. you can actually look at the source code of any widget on a mac by doing a ctrl-click on the .wdgt file and selecting "Show Package Contents". it is kinda like a zip file, but you should recognize lots of HTML and JavaScript files in there.

pretty cool widget...any way to have it in NIV or another version than the KJV? That would be really helpful and easier to understand. Also, check out www.christnotes.org for a daily verse where you can choose the version of the Bible that you want it displayed in. Thanks!

my first choice actually was NIV, but since the NIV is not on the public domain, i havn't looked into copyright issues yet. you are right in that it would make the proverbs lots easier to read. i am working on an update to improve a couple bugs and possibly add a new "look". i'll add the NIV stuff to the top of the list. thanks for downloading.

Love the widget & how it updates every 30 sec. here is an Idea...You could have it as an option to pick your translation on the back, the NIV, NSAB, NKJ & The Message... there are a handful of translations to use.
Let me know if you can do that it would be SWEET.

Love the widget. Thanks for the KJV. I appreciate it. It's difficult to find things in KJV these days.

the KJV was not my first choice, but glad it works well for you. i'm hoping to add NIV or other americanized versions one of these days. my only hold up is i hear NIV is not on the public domain like KJV. i guess i just want to have my bases covered.

one nice thing about the book of Proverbs in KJV is how blunt some of the statements are. some are funny at first, but that helps guys like me get it without having to think too hard.
